The Season of Seven

Before I share what the Lord revealed to me about 2007 it is imperative that I start with the word I shared on New Year’s Eve 2006 in Beaumont, TX. The Lord said 2006 would be a year of transformation that would occur in 3 phases – transition, exposure (purging) and emergence. Let me explain….

Transition – The year would have a brutal start, a true uprooting, people would be geographically relocated. Relationships would be severed and many ministries would make dramatic changes in personnel. The Lord illustrated this by giving me a vision of children playing musical chairs. Each time the music would stop the hand of God would reach into the vision and remove another chair and finally He said “it is imperative that everyone is seated and settled by January of 2007.

Exposure – Both corporately and individually, the Lord would shine His light of revelation into His people and expose all of the darkness. High profile leaders would be publicly exposed. This purging would occur sometime in the middle of 2006.

Emergence – Near the end of the year the hidden ones would be revealed. The Lord told me to spell the month of November “KNOWvember” and that we would “know” in November. For many this would begin a ramping up of revelation and expectancy for the coming year.

The Lord also revealed to me the similarity of this word to the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly. Romans 8, especially versus 18 – 25 beautifully express the “butterfly-like” transformation necessary for the “Sons of God” to be revealed. Just like us, a caterpillar doesn’t realize that his obedience will lead him to tremendous suffering, death and resurrection. “We are new creatures in Christ, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new”. The butterfly that emerges from its cocoon is completely different from the caterpillar that crawled in. Nothing from the past remains, the caterpillar is consumed within hours of entering the cocoon. Interesting note, the caterpillar has 6 sets of eyes, yet barely sees. He lumbers around bumping into things often heading in the wrong direction, yet when the butterfly emerges it has 2 eyes that are dichromatic. So the butterfly not only sees what we see, but he also sees in another dimension – the UV realm - and can even see the radiation generated by heat or cold. Eagles are the quintessential symbol for the prophetic, but even though they can see things afar off, they do not see in another dimension. To me, the Monarch butterfly is the prophetic symbol for this new season. When the butterfly emerges from its cocoon it comes out head first and it uses his front legs to grasp the front of the chrysalis – then the real struggle begins. As the butterfly fights to free itself from the cocoon, its resistance causes the blood of the butterfly to flow into its wings. Then once its wings are extended it climbs to the top of the cocoon and turns until it faces the sun to dry its wings. In the economy of God’s genius, there is no needless suffering, because without the suffering or the struggle, the creature would never be able to fly or experience freedom. Once its wings begin to dry an enzyme is released to harden and stabilize the wings. After this occurs, when he’s ready, the butterfly uses the cocoon as a launching pad and flies away, never returning to it. In three days the cocoon will disintegrate and blow away. The Lord used this picture to set me free from my own frustration with the old wine skin commonly known as the institutional church. The butterfly is not angry, frustrated or bitter with his cocoon he simply flies away. In the same way, we can’t be truly free to move on until we no longer have an “axe to grind” with the church. This brings us to 2007.

When you have a “seer”gift you not only see but you taste, touch, smell and feel things as well. In this New Year we will suddenly find a new sensitivity to the things of the Spirit. During the last 14 months I became aware of a “cadence” or rhythm in the earth. It was a constant series of 3’s in an unbroken pattern. This rhythm or cadence caused me to feel lost, out of sorts, discouraged and generally out of synch. On December 10th, 2006 as I awoke, I felt a complete shift in the sequence and my response was immediate. Suddenly hope, peace and a sense of destiny returned. I felt the synchronicity of heaven, the cadence had changed and I could count it 3-1-3, 3-1-3, 3-1-3. It wasn’t an unbroken sequence of 3’s any longer; it felt more like a waltz! I said “Lord, what is happening?” and He replied “I put myself back into the equation, I’m short circuiting the cycle of death so that my people will be synchronized with the cycle of life in the 7th year.”

I believe that 2007 is the eclipse of a 40 year cycle of death and the beginning of a cycle of life. I believe that by 2008, when we check the statistics of 2006 we’ll find an increase in deaths throughout the world and 2007 will be remembered for an increase in births - 2007 is a year of new life! If this year was a color it would be green! This is the first 7th year in the new millennia. It is the year 5767 on the Hebrew calendar and amazingly that number when applied to the Pythagorean skein, comes out to be the number “7” – in other words, jubilee, jubilee, jubilee! I don’t have to tell you the significance of the number 7; I will say however that it is a positive number significant of fullness, increase, birth, Father, Son and Spirit. It is a year of order and alignment. 7 is a perfect number “when that which is perfect comes: His plan ends in utter perfection, on Earth as it is in Heaven”. We will begin to experience the rhythm or cadence of heaven. When I asked the Lord about the number 40 He said “look at the year 1967”. As I looked through several news archives, one in particular caught my eye. It was “Time Magazine”. Each of the monthly covers possessed a haunting similarity to the headlines of 2006. Though there is no doubt that the 60’s brought a major shift to our nation, I believe that the disengendered spirit of Jezebel permeated our culture at the gate of the year 1967. You will see it in culture, global unrest, but most obviously in the music. This is the time when the messengers of that era began to reinvent their sound. The Beatles released “Sgt. Peppers” and when asked by the critics why the dramatic change in their sound they replied “we have experimented with a new hallucinogenic drug called LSD and have been spending time in India and abroad with a man called Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. As a nation we welcomed the British invasion and their gods. Musicians like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix were suddenly hailed as cultural prophets. In the same way, cultural prophets or messengers of the new millennia are being released into this New Year. I see a new breed… a cross-breed, half psalmist, half visionary – a “musicianery”. These musical messengers will be shot like arrows through our country and the nations. Like the troubadours of old, they will travel from city to city bringing a true awakening. In their vapor trail people will experience supernatural manifestations, angelic visitations and administrations. These messengers will bring heaven to earth. These iconoclasts are not waves, they are breakers. When they arrive things will change. They will possess wisdom far beyond their age. They will understand resonance frequencies, the correlation between sound and light, notes and colors. They will carry a profound healing gift that will manifest spontaneously as they play their instruments and open their mouths.

There are hours of information available if you choose to study on the year 1967. Interestingly 1968 was the unofficial beginning of the “Jesus People” movement. I believe that 2007 will reveal a grass roots movement of Jesus people that will vastly out shine the influence and power of the 1st Jesus People movement. This is not hard to believe if you’ve come in contact with “The Cause”, “Fire school”, “IHOP”, “JHOP” etc. All that’s needed to mobilize this army is a command, and they move out in vans, buses, and public transportation to reach their objective. I believe that as “out of synch” as many of us felt this summer, especially around June 6th (6-6-06); things will be dramatically different this summer, especially around July 7th (7-7-7) which I believe will be a monumental day in Christian history. But this will be only one day of many glory days ahead. We must strike while the iron is hot.

It is also important to note that as we spin out of this 40 year cycle of death the number 40 is extremely significant. The Talmud teaches that 40 days after a child is conceived the soul enters the body. The number 40 therefore is a symbol of birth, rebirth and change. Recently scientists discovered that neural activity begins exactly 40 days after conception. Side note: the Greek word for butterfly is the same word as soul (Selah!). Also the letter MEM which comes from Mayim means water – when God rebirthed the earth, it rained 40 days causing a flood. This 40 year death cycle was to purify, cleanse and prepare the remnant to enter the gate of the year 2007, free from the spirit of Jezebel, with its attachments, addictions and baggage (“and when they caught sight of the Promised Land the people cast off their restraints”).

This is our time. Nothing can hold us back. 40 is a period of testing or judgment, it is the time necessary to accomplish a major part of God’s plan in His dealings with various portions of mankind. This is the year for the Ecclesia – the true shining headless bride of Christ to come into alignment with His headship and authority. This is a banner year for true believers. There will be a line of demarcation drawn; it will be the definitive between the institutional church and HIS church. Counterfeit Apostolic and Prophetic ministries will be exposed and yet as a people we will thrive in an ungodly environment. Politics and economics will have no bearing on our divine marching orders. We will have to walk in the Spirit to know what the Spirit of the Lord is doing in this new season.

In this new season we should expect the unexpected. Things may not be what they appear to be. Keep your eye on the homeless, the handicapped and the American Indian. Who could possibly be a better intercessor than a homeless person? They have no attachments, they’re not looking for attention and they don’t suffer from a spirit of entitlement. Though the world sees them as poor, they possess the greatest gift of all - Jesus, the all sufficient one. Their prophetic number is 222 which means God’s sufficiency in the midst of man’s insufficiency. The world calls the handicapped “invalids”. God is bringing validation to the invalid. After spending much time with the handicapped I quickly realized that they were not handicapped at all. In fact, they have a unique understanding of intimacy and a depth and knowledge of heaven that few of us have time for.

I see uprisings on Indian reservations this year! Not violent uprisings, I see literal resurrections on the reservations. This is the beginning of the rise of the 1st nation’s people. They have great knowledge of the land but now they will be introduced to the person of the “Great Spirit”. There will be angelic visitations, healings, salvations, deliverance and fresh vision for the American Indian (“what has been torn He will heal and what has been bruised He will bind”). The spirit of death and rejection will be run off the reservation. The American Indian has been hidden or reserved for such a time as this! The rains will come, not as much from the heavens as up from the earth. There will be springs in the desert – it will overflow. The Lord is doing a new thing!
