The Blessings of Righteousness

Recently, I was in a conference in Ottawa, Canada where Clive Pick was ministering. Clive has been raised up by the Lord to teach on financial stewardship according to Kingdom economy. I have always loved his ministry. In Ottawa, he said something that caught my attention: “There are more blessings in the Bible associated with your righteousness than there are in relationship to your giving.” That statement impacted me, so I went on a search of the scriptures. I love the subject of righteousness and I love the scriptures.

“…I felt the cleansing and removal of my sin.”

I will never forget my born-again experience. I had felt so dark within…defiled…unclean. The moment Jesus came into my heart, I suddenly felt the cleansing and the removal of my sin. I felt pure within and very loved. I later came to understand that this was due to the fact that Christ’s righteousness entered me when He did. We have been given His righteousness as a gift. The presence of His righteousness is within us and we get to release it by faith so that our life is saturated with it.

Rewards That Accompany Righteousness

Righteousness refers to our right standing before God. It also refers to His justice and to integrity, purity of life, morality, obedience, and rightness in feelings, thoughts and actions. The following are a few blessings that accompany righteous choices.

Because you are in Christ, you can receive by faith all the rewards of righteousness, for He is your righteousness.
Allow His righteousness to manifest through you.

Choose His righteousness in your every day decisions. Ask His forgiveness for any unrighteous thoughts, words or deeds that you have chosen. Receive the powerful cleansing that comes from His righteous blood so that there is no landing strip for the enemy in your life. In this way, there will be no blocks to the blessings of God in your life.

Prayer Focus for January 2007

This month, let’s focus our prayers to believe for a powerful revelation of His righteousness to invade both the Body of Christ and the world. In 2007, we will see more exposure of sin in the church. Judgment begins with us first. The Lord wants a pure Bride without spot or blemish or any such thing.

Pray for the presence of Christ’s righteousness to produce the fear of the Lord in the church and in the world.
Pray for leaders in the Body of Christ.
Pray for government leaders.
Pray for exposure of sin in the Body.
Pray for exposure of sin in the government.
Pray for exposure of sin in businesses and the market place (especially embezzlement & misappropriation of funds and areas where innocent people have been taken advantage of through deceptive and ungodly schemes.)
Pray for the demolition of every unrighteous coalition (i.e. drug cartel; sex trade cartels; pornography industry).

Specific Prayers for XPmedia

That we remain absolutely pure as a ministry (include our entire team, partners, staff, volunteers, intercessors, WebChurch congregation etc.)
Pray for the Lord to enable us to blow a trumpet regarding morality and righteousness.
Pray for our love to increase this year.
Pray for our faith to increase this year.
Pray for our Webchurch – that it will be a great blessing to the Lord and to those who join, especially those who live in isolated areas. Pray that we will be able to gather the outcasts and the scattered and that we will have a fruitful work.
Pray for our media department, (television production, web-videos and web-casts) that the grace of the Lord will lead us. Pray for increased creativity and ability. Believe with us for expansion in media outreach. Pray for Shirley Ross and for additional staff that we need this year.
We have more than doubled our staff this year. Please pray for our team that we remain in unity and love. We have an amazing staff and volunteer team who walk in integrity and love. Pray protection and increased blessings on the team. We need to increase our staff again this year. Pray that the Lord will lead us to the right people at the right time.
Pray for our finances. Our responsibilities have increased but so also have our expenses. God meets all our needs according to His riches in glory. Pray for increased partnership this year. Our partners are the best – they are the most committed people in the world!!! Pray a big, gigantic, blessing over them!
Increased, multiplied grace (God’s influence and empowerment upon us).
Pray for multiplied favor on our ministry this year.

Intercessors – thanks a million for your prayers. Everything you just prayed through is for YOU, too. We are in agreement on that. May you be rewarded greatly!
