Do Not Doubt! You will Launch Revival and Impact Nations!by Greg & Jayne Watrich
Colossians 1:4-6 NIV "We have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world." At XP we are believing for 2011 to be the church’s most glorious year yet. We feel the New Year is not only the beginning of a new decade, but also of a new Kingdom Hour where there will be great grace for believers to go forth in faith, hope, and love, knowing our authority in Christ, and impacting neighborhoods, cities, and regions around the world. Paul gave us a perfect context for revival in the first chapter of Colossians. May the gospel be bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world because they have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all God’s people! It is time for revival to come to the land. It is time to make disciples of nations. Keys To Making Disciples of NationsMatthew 28:16-20 NKJV "Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Let’s take a fresh look at the Great Commission that Jesus gave to the original disciples in Matthew 28:16-20 as they entered a new Kingdom Hour at the behest of the risen Christ. In capturing this moment, Matthew gives us a context statement in verse 17 that must have been a significant and memorable part of the event of encountering the risen Jesus. “When they saw Him, they worshipped Him, but some doubted.” Those three words might not seem like much at first, but they are key. The doubting must have been vocal to be worth noting, and probably resulted in division in the ranks of followers, causing some to lack faith or ignore whatever was said by Jesus after that. But in John 20, we see that Jesus used intimate ways of convincing His friends that He was indeed their risen Jesus while he visited them. It is those who worshipped Him AND chose to believe that went on to change the world of their day, and it is the same for us who are believing for revival in 2011. Worship (intimacy with Him), and knowing and believing His Word will be keys to impacting nations! We have been blessed to see God move in amazing and powerful ways over the last few decades. In every move of God, there have been those who have worshipped Him and embraced what he was doing, and there have been those who have doubted. Often those in opposition have raised some important issues we can learn from as we move forward with God, but ultimately it was those who believed God, believed His Word, and grabbed hold of His Promises that had real impact in the earth for however long the move lasted. Matthew 28:19 says, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” The word “therefore” forces us to go back in the text for the underlying foundation of this command. Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore …” And then He goes on to tell His disciples that as the body of Christ go and exercise the full authority that you have in Me, and convince others to do likewise! As I look at the body of Christ today, I believe that in 2011 we are on the cusp of the rhema revelation to the worldwide church that “All authority has been given to the church,” and as we grab hold of this revelation, we will start to live it out by boldly taking mountain after mountain in this world. It is time for the church to accelerate taking the Promised Land for the kingdom of Jesus. Commission for 2011Micah 4:1-3 "Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. 2 Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3 He shall judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations afar off;" 2011 is the time to press in for fulfillment of the prophecy that “the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it.” In other words, the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains of governments. The mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains of media. The mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains of the Arts. And so on, for every type of mountain on earth and heaven, in this age and the age to come. The Lord’s Prayer decrees for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 11:2). Paul’s prayer decrees Jesus is above every ruler in this age and in the age to come, and that He is head over all things through the church, to which He has given exceeding greatness of His power (Ephesians 1:17-23). Bill Johnson says that in spiritual warfare, we must be aware of the fact that if all power and authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus and his church, that means someone has no power. As intercessors, we must press in by prayer to get the breakthrough for this as a general rhema revelation for the whole Body of Christ. We need to pray for gifts of faith and love to be given out in exceeding abundance. We need supernatural wisdom and anointing for this. The church is essentially called to rule the world (“make disciples of all nations”), and in prayer we need to pull down any powers and principalities that would attempt to exalt themselves above the truth in Christ Jesus. We must bring everything into accord with His word and say NO to ungodly mindsets or worldly ideologies that would try to create doubt in the minds of believers and prevent the Church from taking hold of the authority the Lord has given us to advance His Kingdom throughout the world. As disciples of Jesus, let’s keep our eyes and ears focused on Him. In HIm and with Him we have everything we need to accomplish the desires of His heart, and the prophecies that He has spoken in His Word. Your Love Will Bring Revival1 Corinthians 13:2, 3, 13 "1 If I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Jesus has invited us to the mountain of the next wave of awakening which has already started in many places around the world. He was sent to us because God loves the world so much (John 3:16). Jesus was faithful to go to the cross because He loved the Father so much that He prayed, “not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42) That is the prayer that launches revival. The greatest gift came through love from the Father. The greatest obedience came through love from the Son. The greatest revival will come out of love from YOU! My prayer for you is that everyone will “have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people—the faith and love that spring from the hope within you. (Colossians 1:4, 5) We will worship, and we will not doubt, because we are BELIEVERS! Press in! Decrees
