When are you accepting students for the XP Intercession Plunge (XPIP)?

We will have two Intercession Plunges in 2012. The dates are:
March 1-25 and October 1-27

How long does the process of acceptance take?

Before the process of acceptance can begin, we must receive both your pastoral and personal recommendations, as well as your application fee. After ALL paperwork and the application fee are received, it should take 1–2 weeks to process your application.

How will I know when XPIP has received my application?

When we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a reminder of everything listed in Answer 3.

What is the age limit for the XPIP?

The age limit is 18 years old. We will take someone as young as 16 years old if a parent or legal guardian joins the program with them.

How many hours a week will I be involved?

The Intercession Plunge will include five days per week of class time from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional weekend prayer times are possible. There will also be intercession for applicable XP Conferences and Events.

Can I do the program on a part-time basis?

We are not accepting part-time applicants at this time. If you were to join now, you would need to participate fully in every scheduled activity.

Can you tell me a little about what to expect from the XPIP?

Daily classes will involve teaching and intercession. There will be occasional trips to “pray on sight.”

Are families allowed to join XPIP?

Families are welcome. However, if they want to be active in the program they must meet the age requirements and they have to be available for all the scheduled activities.

What would happen if I were unable to get a pastoral recommendation? What if I were unable to get recommendations at all?

If this happens, please write a letter of explanation and attach it to your application. We will pray about the situation and let you know by phone or e-mail what is decided.

What kind of expenses should I expect during the program?

You are responsible for purchasing your own food for where you are staying. Bring enough to cover groceries for the length of time you plan to stay.

Lodging: If you plan to stay in ministry housing, it will cost you $400–$500 per month plus food and expense for personal items.

Also, plan to pay for expenses for hotel fees for events we hold that are not within a reasonable driving distance (usually 1–2 times per year). Please check the website www.xpmedia.com for a list of events. Events that are 3–5 days in length usually require hotel fees (except those held at Grace Inn, Holiday Inn, or in the city of Maricopa). The hotel fees will vary ($70–$150 per night). Since you are also responsible for the cost of your meals during the event, note that some hotels have rooms with full kitchens, which would cut down on food costs.

Offerings: Since you have the privilege of serving and participating in our awesome conferences, you will have many opportunities to sow into the glory. Please plan to bring seed to sow so you won’t miss any opportunity!

Other: Bring extra money for fellowship and entertainment on your time off. This is optional, but recommended. Consider in your finances that we have a great resource center where you can purchase products from our ministry as well as from many others worldwide. You will receive a 20%–30% discount on these items. Another thing to consider is that sometimes there are fees charged for manuals for conferences you are required to attend (up to $15, only once every 3 months). If you are interested in going to events hosted by XP Ministries but held in other states, you will be responsible for all costs involved. Again, this is optional.
